The South Indian Super Star Rajnikanth, known as `Thalaivar,’ is well known for his philanthropic persona by his fans. At all times of needs he has responded with profound kind gestures. In his latest bids the Thalaivar has handed over a cheque for Rs. 10 Lakhs, to the Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. The meeting cites importance, as this was the first after his recovery from illness, in April and after the AIADMK regained power with a thumping majority. The Superstar handed over the cheque to the CM as a contribution to state Government’s Thane cyclone Relief Fund.
The superstar maintained political diplomacy always. The man of the masses soon after reaching from Singapore received a call from the CM. The CM enquired about his health. Immediately the Thalaivar called the opposition DMK Supremo Dr. Karunanidhi, to inquired about the latter’s health. It may be noted Superstar was shooting for the Tamil film Rana on April 29 when he complained of exhaustion and was admitted to hospital for treatment. He was later taken to Singapore.
